报告摘要: In a wireless powered Internet of Things (IoT) network, a base station transfers power to IoT nodes by using Wireless Power Transfer (WPT). Inadequately scheduling WPT and data transmission causes fast battery drainage and data queue overflow of some nodes who could have potentially gained high data reception. In this talk, we formulate the scheduling of WPT and data transmission as a Markov Decision Process (MDP) by jointly considering IoT nodes' energy consumption and data queue. In practical scenarios, the prior knowledge about battery level and data queue length in MDP is not available at the base station. We study reinforcement learning at the IoT nodes to find a transmission scheduling strategy, minimizing data packet loss. An optimal scheduling strategy with full-state information is also investigated, assuming that the complete battery level and data queue information are well known. This presents the lower bound of the data packet loss in wireless powered IoT networks. 


主讲人介绍:李恺博士现为葡萄牙国立实时和嵌入式计算系统研究中心(CISTER)的高级研究员和项目负责人。在此之前,李博士是新加坡科技设计大学的SUTD-MIT国际设计中心的博士后研究员。他曾是澳大利亚联邦科学与工业研究组织(CSIRO) ICT研究中心的助理研究员。2010年至2011年,他曾在香港中文大学移动通信研究所担任助理研究员。

李博士获中国山东大学学士学位,香港科技大学硕士学位,澳大利亚新南威尔士大学计算机科学博士学位。他的研究兴趣包括车载网通信和安全、资源分配优化、物理信息系统(CPS)、物联网(IoT)、人类感知系统、无线传感器网络和无人机网络。李博士还担任IEEE Access Journal的副编辑,ACM/IEEE IPSNPerCom国际会议的demo session联席主席, 以及多个国际学术会议的TPC成员,如EWSN, IEEE PerCom, Globecom, MASS, Globecom, VTC。
